a toug semester to come..*sigh*..

School has started and i'm just ready to let it all pass quickly and head to the holidays. I don't know if i can continue and be all hardworking and doing my best. Its only been two days and am already having thoughts and feelings of giving up and calling it quits. *sigh*. This is seriously going to be a tough semester. Literally. I can feel it.

Yesterday during lecture, they showed the names of those who got in the list of top 10% and the director's list for semester 2 1st year. They also showed(again) the names of those who got in the 10% list and the director's list for semester 1 1st year and gave out certificates for those in the director's list(semester1, 1st yr). At that moment when i looked at that list of names, it got me just abit. If they can do it, why not me? Forget about last semester. That's history. Nothing you can do about it now. I have to work hard this semester. Real hard. Really, really hard. So, i told Ruth, Yongyi and Sherrill jokingly. Let's aim for a gpa of 4. We all knew though it was impossible but if we do not have an aim or a goal at the end of the journey, we wouldn't have a purpose to work hard and do well. Instead we decided on a gpa of 3.5. Still high but it's realistic and acheivable. If we put out hearts and soul into it and stay committed to working hard this semester, it can happen. From a gpa of only 1++ to 3.5, it seems impossible but..i have to. Make my friends proud. Make my parents proud and prove to everyone, i can do it!
