Meeting David Archuleta!!!!!!!! =))

Yesterday was the first time ever that i met up close, face to face with a celebrity. Well, i have met one before. Taufik Batisah. Our first ever singapore idol. So, he is sort of a celebrity. This person that i met yesterday i would say is sort of a celebrity too. Cause if you're famous in America, literally you're just as much a celebrity as Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus and other famous celebrities out there but in Singapore, even when you're famous, you can never be labelled a celebrity and get that much fame all over. So, Taufik Batisah, not a name to say if anybody asked you the question "have you ever in your lifetime met a celebrity up close?". So, this person i met yesterday got famous from american idol and now labelled a celebrity cause he got so much fans even here all the way from little country singapore. I met David Archuleta. Everybody scrrrrreeeeeeaaaammm!!!! Haha.

I met yongyi at jurong east mrt to accompany him to buy David Archuleta's album but it was out of stock. Decided to go to city hall and buy it there instead. HMV, sold out. Luckily we found it at Suntec but damn was it expensive. $22.90. I bought mine for only $16.90. What a way to cheat people off their money. Hmph. After a tiring search for the album, we went to Bugis where David Archuleta will be. We met Ruth and Sherrill first cause its been so long since we seen each other. However they were not joing us cause they had to be somewhere. They were not big of a fan of David Archuleta as me and yongyi were anyway.

We reached the Iluma at around 4 plus. We waited in line and had to seat at wet ground for awhile. At around 5 or 6 plus, we were let in the shopping mall. I was really excited. Once in a lifetime opporunity. The people let us and we had to seat and wait again. Well, we waited and waited and waited and waited till it was around 7 plus before David Archuleta came out. Which means he was late. He sang a few songs. I couldn't really see him cause there was so many tall people blocking and i am short. But i get to see him here and there. His voice though was awesome. Just how it is on his album. I sang along and shouted but not as much as those girls who were extremely obsessed over him. They kept screaming and shouting so loud that i felt as if my ears were gonna pop. Haha.

I got to get his signature too!!!! I went up the stage and told him "I love your voice. You should have won American Idol". He was like "oh-oh" and smiled at me. I shook his hands too. Haha.

Apart from getting my legs aching from standing so long, it was a preetty great experience for me. Getting to meet a celebrity up close! The sad thing was being short and not really getting to see him as clear on stage when he was performing. Also, not getting to take a picture with him. They wouldn't let us cause it would waste time and they wanted as much people to get his signatures as possible. Uuurrgghh!!! Frustrating.

Still, if there was another event like this, i would go again. However this time i would make sure to be there as early as possible so i could be in the front and see him clearly. I would also make sure to bring a better camera so i can take better pictures and take videos of his performance.
